WEEE Regulations
(Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment)

Being a responsible business is very important to us and we are happy to support the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive.

What is the WEEE Directive?

The Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive is the European Community directive introduced to address the environmental impacts of unwanted electrical and electronic equipment at end-of-life disposal. It became UK law in 2007 and its objective is to promote recycling, minimise waste and stimulate the development of more environmentally friendly products for the future.

What are we doing?

As required by law, our own brand; Prima Appliances are registered under one of the approved compliance schemes. The scheme we are part of is run by Repic, the largest WEEE producer compliance scheme in the UK.

As the disposal of WEEE is heavily regulated we encourage and remind customers that products carrying the crossed out wheelie bin symbol on our packaging (as shown below) should be disposed of in accordance with the necessary regulations and not disposed of with household rubbish. More information can be found at

We are also obliged to make available to our customers our WEEE Producer Number to prove our registration: Our WEEE Producer Number is: WEE/FK0057TS/PRO
